Maruti Jimny is slated to launch in May
Jimny was allegedly set to launch in February, but things have now changed. According to Maruti Dealers who have begun contacting potential Jimny customers around India, the launch of the Jimny is in May, also confirmed by 41NM Torque.
Even though it’s disappointing news but a very well-planned move from Maruti, the bookings have already exceeded 9000 in just two weeks. Maruti will have a large supply of Jimnys available after the launch to deliver to customers.
Maruti Jimny Delivery Date
Let’s now discuss the Jimny delivery date. It is now clear that delivery will begin only one month after the launch date. So, don’t expect Jimny to arrive in your garage until the first week of June.
The 5-door Maruti Jimny is powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol K15B engine that produces 105 horsepower and 130 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission.
The Jimny also comes with a part-time 4WD system. The engine is small, lightweight and efficient, it may not be powerful, but it is suitable for the small and lightweight body of the Jimny and its off-road capabilities.
Zeta and Alpha are the two Jimny variations that will be offered. Six colour possibilities will be available: yellow, red, grey, white, bluish black, and Nexa blue.
