New Toyota Tundra will Rival Ford F-158 in the U.S market
Toyota has finally unveiled third-generation all-new Toyota Tundra. It has gone through significant changes since 2007. The new Toyota Tundra 2022 sits on a new platform and gets all-new engine options and a host of new tech features.
New Tundra is based on Toyota’s TNGA-F platform, which also forms the base for the new-gen Toyota Land Cruiser Land Cruiser 300. There are also some vital mechanical components that New Tundra shares with the new Land Cruiser, like – coil springs, a five-link suspension, which will bring enhanced ride quality, lockable rear differential, Multi-Terrain Select off-road modes and Crawl off-road cruise control.

It comes in two-four body styles to choose from – the CrewMax and the double cab. It features a rear bed ranging from 5.5 feet to 8.1 feet in the Double Cab model.
The Japanese automaker will offer two versions of Toyota Tundra, a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine, including a hybrid that can produce up to 437 BHP – 56 more than the current V-8 – and 583 foot-pounds of torque, a 45% increase than the 2021 Tundra. At the same time, lower trims produce 389 BHP and 649 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. It has an option to choose 4×2 or 4×4 drive options.

Toyota Tundra gets a 12.3-inch digital instruments display and a 14.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system running Toyota’s new Audio Multimedia interface. YOu also get Wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Toyota Tundra has a towing capacity of 5.4 tonnes and has a payload capacity of 880 kg. Toyota Tundra will Rival Ford F-150 and Ford Maverick in the U.S market. Toyota has not yet revealed pricing for the 2022 Tundra, but it is expected to go on sale later this year.
