Raji: An Ancient Epic, the game released last year, has made all Indian Gaming community proud by winning three awards at the Taipei Game Show 2021 Indie Game Awards. Raji: An Ancient Epic is a single-player ancient Hindu mythology game.
The game was first released on Nintendo Switch in August 2020. Later the game came to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platform in October 2020. Since then, the game has been praised for its beautiful storytelling and visualization. The game scored a “very positive” review on Steam and enjoyed a well deserved 9/10 rating.
Raji has become the first-ever game developed by an Indian studio to be nominated at The Game Awards 2020 in the Best Debut Game category. Although the game didn’t grab any award, but got many praises and support back at home. Now winning three awards from Taipei Game Show, it will enhance its popularity.
Before Raji, it was “Ausra 2017” and “Bhagat Singh: the Game 2002” the most popular game developed by Indian developers.
Raji is a story about an orphaned but courageous circus actor named Raji. She sets out on a hazardous journey in Historical India to locate her just a family member and younger brother, Golu, who was kidnapped by Demons while Raji and Golu were performing at the carnival on Raksha Bandhan. Founded by literary deities, Goddess Durga and Lord Vishu, Raji races through the Ruins of ancient India, fighting her way through demons and obstacles.
