Apple cuts EarPods and iPhone charger prices
Apple has announced the new iPhone 12 and not so surprisingly ditch iPhone 12 charging adapters and Earpods. Apple won’t pack those in iPhone boxes anymore, ofcourse you have to purchase it separately. The only accessory you get in the iPhone box is a USB-C to Lightning cable.
The Motive behind this move, Apple is positioning it as an environmentally friendly move that will reduce carbon emissions and will let the company ship more iPhone devices on a single pallet.
This move alone made people angry at the Apple decision of Ditching iPhone charger and Earpods. Thankfully, to ease the people’s temper Apple has reduced those accessories prices.
Apple has introduced a new 20-watt power adapter for $19, discontinuing the older 18-watt charger that cost $29. Not only this, EarPods with a Lightning connector now costs $19, which is a $10 cheaper than what Apple used to sell. However, you are still spending an extra $38 on top of what you’re already paying for your iPhone 12.
Moreover, that’s not it Apple’s won’t provide headphones and charger for iPhone 11, iPhone XR, and iPhone SE either. The company says those phones only come with a USB-C to Lightning cable.
So no matter what, if you’re opting to grab those older iPhones instead of the new iPhone 12 prepared to buy headphones or power adapter separately.
