That’s it! It’s the end of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note 8 journey as the South Korean company has finally confirmed that these two flagships won’t receive any more OS updates beyond Android 9 Pie.
However, previously numerous reports slated that either of them will get Android 10 updates but that’s isn’t the case anymore and this is disappointing news for the users who are disparately waiting for the new Android 10 OS upgrade including me as well.
SamMobile confirmed that the Galaxy S8 and Note 8 will not be receiving Android 10 and One UI 2.0 upgrade. Although, both will continue to get security updates in the future but it was expected considering they were launched in the market three years ago.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is the successor to the very popular Galaxy S7. The S8 is the flagship phone in Samsung’s range and is designed to compete with the likes of the iPhone 7 and the Google Pixel.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is a flagship smartphone from Samsung. It features a large 5.8-inch display with curved edges on the left and right sides, which is referred to as an Infinity Display. The phone is powered by the latest version of Android, called Nougat. The Galaxy S8 comes in two sizes – either Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+.
So, if you are the users of any of these two Galaxy S8 or Note 8 flagships Smartphone either you have to upgrade to a newer phone or else install different ROMS available for these two flagship smartphones to use Android 10.
